Scholarship may be used to attract outstanding high school seniors who attend Georgia College as Freshmen, as well as to award top honor students already enrolled at Georgia College. The award selections shall be made at the discretion of the alumni scholarship committee. Earnings from the fund in excess of the amount necessary to award one annual full tuition scholarship will be reinvested in the corpus of the fund. If the endowment earnings reach the point where more than one student can receive financial aid, I leave this procedure to the judgement of the scholarship committee.

The student must have a minimum of a 3.5 overall GPA.

If there is any question about the qualification of applicants for this scholarship, the Scholarship Committee of the Georgia College Alumni Association shall confer with the Chairman of the Department of Modern Languages, in School of Arts and Sciences; or the Chairman of the Department of Early Childhood Education in the School of Education, as the case may require, in order to decide upon a proper candidate.

To provide scholarships to honor and reward continuing advanced students at Georgia College who have distinguished themselves by academic excellence, good citizenship, breadth of interest, and promise of success. Scholarship recipients shall be selected from rising juniors and seniors at Georgia College. These scholarships should be awarded in the following order of priority: one scholarship to either a rising junior or senior of academic excellence, who is further distinguished by his or her volunteer service to the Academic Support Program for Athletics; one scholarship to either a rising junior or senior of academic and athletic excellence.

Per gift agreement: To provide scholarships to honor and reward continuing advanced students at Georgia College who have distinguished themselves by academic excellence, good citizenship, breadth of interest, and promise of success. If for any reason a recipient fails to complete the academic year at Georgia College, the balance of funds may be awarded to another recipient. These scholarships should be awarded in the following order of priority: One scholarship to a rising senior; one scholarship to a rising junior.

Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty that demonstrate and validate the student’s professional leadership abilities and sense of commitment to community.  GPA of 3.0 or better

Athletics

To provide scholarship support to students enrolled at Georgia College who are members of the Women's Cross Country Team. Selected by the Athletic Scholarship Committee, the scholarship will be given to one player or split among a maximum of two players. The total amount awarded by this scholarship shall not exceed $1,000 per year. 

Leadership/Public Service

Students who have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours, must have a minimum cumlative GPA of 3.0, are or will be holding a leadership position with the GIVE Center, or it successor.

Status: Sophomore, junior, or senior; any major.

The scholarship recipient must have completed a minimum of 90 quarter hours with an overall G.P.A of 3.0. In addition the student must have completed at least 45 quarter hours at Georgia College. All general scholarship criteria applies with the exception of the G.P.A which will be 3.0. Application procedures will be the same as set forth by the Alumni Scholarship Committee. The Alumni Scholarship Committee recommends nominees to the Scholarship Committee of Georgia College, which shall make the final determination in all cases.

Status: For students who are incoming freshmen majoring in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.  Selection based on the scholarship committee for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
